We were given the opportunity to collaborate and produce this table for HDTV.   It is a modern contemporary design with traditional walnut wood plank construction.   We certainly focus on a lot of live edge furniture and produce the finest live edge tables found in Texas and across the United States.   We also certainly offer more traditional contemporary table designs such as this.   Although the budget didn’t allow it, we prefer to utilized our highly figured walnut wood slabs from salvaged trees.   We mill these live edge wood slabs into more traditional straight lined lumber boards (“called S4 boards”) for use in a more formal, straight line edged tables.   The benefit to using our re-purposed wood?  The color, grain and immense figuring in our walnut lumber is unmatched by anything found at specialty lumber yards.   We are also able to sort the lumber by each particular log!   Yes, we sort by the log and also geographic area which the log was salvaged.   This ensures that we have color and grain matching across the boards (especially boards from the same log).   Please check out our 3-piece walnut dining table as an example.   This table was produced from our salvaged lumber.

Having said all that, this is still a wonderfully beautiful table.   You can notice the contrasting between the hardwood and sapwood.   Considering our budget, this was a fantastic product and one which blew away the HDTV team.   We produced the aluminum table base in-house like most everything we build.
